Know before you go

Fright Nights is an annual event held at Movie World.

This year, Fright Nights will open Saturday 29th September and every weekend in October.

Outdoor rides close at 9pm and the mazes close at 10pm and Movie World closes at 10:30pm.

The event features horrifying mazes, scare zones, shows and more. Plus some of your favourite rides will be open during select hours.

This is a separately ticketed event and not included with regular park admission tickets.

Fright Night Dates:

  • Saturday 29th September
  • Friday 5th & Saturday 6th October
  • Friday 12th & Saturday 13th October
  • Friday 19th & Saturday 20th October & Sunday 21st October
  • Friday 26th & Saturday 27th October & Sunday 28th October

Guests can present their ticket to the turnstiles from 4:30pm however access to the park will be restricted to the designated Fright Nights waiting zones on Main Street.

Fright Nights continues even in wet weather. Please note that during lightning and severe thunder storms Warner Bros. Movie World may temporarily suspend rides and attraction until they are safe to operate.

Fright Nights guests will repent their sins as they experience their favourite rides after dark with access to SUPERMAN Escape, ARKHAM ASYLUM Coaster, GREEN LANTERN Coaster, BATWING Spaceshot, DOOMSDAY Destroyer and DC Rivals HyperCoaster.

The event contains extremely scary themes and experiences and is not recommended for children under the age of 14 years. We strongly recommend that all children be accompanied by an adult who shall be solely responsible for their care and conduct whilst on these premises.

For health and safety reasons, guests are not permitted to wear face coverings, masks or make-up that prevents facial identification.

You are welcome to wear costumes and light facial make-up. No dangerous items or weapons may be brought into Movie World.

Note: Some costume pieces may need to be removed due to ride restrictions.

Food, beverage, eskies and coolers may not be brought into the park. Guests with special dietary requirements are exempt from this policy. No alcohol may be brought into Movie World.

NO pass-outs will be issued during Fright Nights.

If you leave the park you will not be allowed to re-enter.

Fright Nights is usually a sell-out event and so we recommend purchasing your tickets in advance. Tickets are date specific. If the event is sold out prior, you will not be able to purchase tickets on the night.

If you need to change dates, please give our team a call on 13 33 86. There is a $9.95 fee to change dates.

Elite and Premier Members will be able to redeem their Fright Nights ticket soon by entering in their membership number. Details will be emailed out to Members shortly.

Due to the popularity of some rides & mazes, queue lines may close earlier to allow rides & mazes to finish strictly at 10:00pm as per council and noise regulations.
