Four people dressed as sinister, scary clowns stand under string lights in a red-and-white circus tent, surrounded by fog. They wear exaggerated makeup and costumes, with one clown holding an axe and another in a polka-dot suit.
Two people in costumes and scary masks holding bloody weapons approach a frightened man and woman outside a building at night, creating a horror-themed scene with dramatic lighting and fog.

New in 2025 for Halloween on the Gold Coast

In 2025, Fright Nights descends deeper into darkness with two new headline mazes.

  • Eternal Dark: Step inside the derelict spacecraft Eternal, once a beacon of discovery, now consumed by a viral infection. The crew is no longer fully human, their twisted forms lurking in the shadows as the ship drifts in silence. This all-new sci-fi nightmare turns every corridor into a trap and every corner into a place of dread. Enter… if you dare.

  • Krypt of Kain: Descend beneath the infamous Hotel of Horrors into a basement of ritual secrets. The cult below feeds and multiplies, and few who enter return unchanged.

These new mazes join fan favourites returning for 2025, rounding out a five maze lineup for the season.

Fright Nights descends deeper into darkness with two new headline mazes.

A person in a spacesuit with a cracked helmet and a zombie-like appearance raises clawed hands menacingly, standing in a dimly lit, sci-fi corridor with red and blue lighting.
Two people in dark, rugged costumes struggle violently in a dim, industrial setting; one has glowing eyes and zombie-like features, holding the other man by the collar as he tries to fight back.
Three people in costume: one in a black feathered outfit, another in a straitjacket reaching out and screaming, and a third in a grotesque, monstrous bear suit, all in a dim, stone-walled room.
A terrified woman with bloodied hands screams and reaches forward while being dragged across a dark, stone-floored room by someone behind her. The scene is tense and dramatic with dim, eerie lighting.

The mazes, precincts and more

Five horror mazes, zero mercy

Across the night you can brave a circuit of five mazes that push different fears and themes. These are walk-through experiences built with detailed sets, special effects and live performers, pulling you into movie-quality scenes where the scares come from every angle. This year’s lineup includes NEW Eternal Dark and Krypt of Kain, plus returning mazes DCeased, Circurse and Hellship. Each maze is designed to make you face your deepest fears and phobias, from twisting corridors to bloodcurdling creatures that stalk you in the dark. Plan your route early and use the app or upgrades to maximise your run. Why wait for the horror to begin? Unlock priority access to all five mazes with Fright Nights Fast Track Mazes and jump straight into the terror.

Scare precincts that keep the fear alive between mazes

Throughout the night you will journey through eerie precincts drenched in fog, haunting shadows and bone-chilling soundscapes. Each zone is swarming with sinister characters, unpredictable scares and unsettling surprises that strike when you least expect them. These immersive environments transform the park’s streets into living nightmares, keeping the tension high as you make your way from one attraction to the next.

Live entertainment all night

Check the entertainment schedule for shows, moments and photo worthy encounters that pop up throughout the night. The schedule helps you plan your path around key performances without sacrificing maze time.

Rides after dark

Some of Warner Bros. Movie World’s biggest coasters operate after sunset during Fright Nights. Think DC Rivals HyperCoaster, BATWING Spaceshot, and Green Lantern Coaster, all with the extra adrenaline kick that only night riding brings.

Panic Rooms for the puzzle obsessed

If you like your fear with a side of strategy, book a Panic Room session. These timed challenges are a separate purchase with limited slots, which makes them a smart add on if your group loves escape style experiences.

WB Horror Encounters

Head to Pain Street (Main Street) for WB Horror Encounters, where you can step right into iconic horror scenes. These video and photo opportunities on your own phone are included with your ticket, so make sure you stop by and capture the moment.

A group of six people stand huddled together in a dimly lit, rustic room. One woman in front appears startled, with her mouth open and hands raised, while the others look on nervously behind her.
Two frightened teenagers stand in front of a dark tunnel while a sinister clown (Pennywise) with orange hair and white makeup looms menacingly behind them, ready to attack.
A performer wearing a mask spins a staff with sparks and fireworks radiating outward, creating a dramatic display of light and motion against a dark background.
A group of people sit on a drop tower amusement park ride themed with Batman graphics, suspended high against a dark evening sky.

Planning your Halloween night on the Gold Coast

Pick your date and lock it in early

Check the official calendar for available dates and pricing. The calendar shows which nights have the best value and helps you organise your group.

Use the Official Village Roadshow Theme Parks App to move faster

Download the Village Roadshow Theme Parks app for interactive maps, showtimes and ride wait times*. It makes a real difference once the fog sets in and the crowds build.

Decide on upgrades before you arrive

Fast Track options for mazes and rides are popular because they minimise time in queues. If you are doing a Panic Room, book your preferred time slot early as panic rooms will sell out. Digital Photo Passes are available too if you want a souvenir from your Halloween night. For the ultimate start to your evening, consider First Bite, which gives you early entry, an exclusive area to relax, and a themed dining experience before the chaos begins.

Consider the age guidance

Fright Nights features intense themes and scares that are not recommended for guests under 14. If you are planning a broader family trip, note that this event is different from regular day trade.

Eat, hydrate and pace yourself

Food and beverage options run throughout the event and select dining experiences can be pre-purchased. For something extra, upgrade your night with options like First Bite, which includes early entry, a private zone and a themed dining experience, or the Slaughterhouse Stack, a monstrous loaded burger piled high with meat, cheese and all the trimmings, which is the ultimate fuel to keep you going through the scares ahead.

Coming from Brisbane and comparing options

If you are searching for Halloween events Brisbane or Gold Coast and you want a guaranteed big night, Fright Nights is worth the trip down the M1. The park positions the event as the Gold Coast’s biggest and scariest Halloween experience, with dedicated mazes, precincts and rides after dark all in one place. That mix is hard to match, and it is ideal if you are planning a Halloween weekend away with mates.
